Sahih Muslim #1676a

'Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَوَكِيعٌ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ لاَ يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ بِإِحْدَى ثَلاَثٍ الثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِ وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abû Hurayra a rapporté que le Messager d'Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) a dit : Un serment doit être interprété selon l'intention de celui qui le prête.

It is not permissible to take the life of a Muslim who bears testimony (to the fact that there is no god but Allah, and I am the Messenger of Allah, but in one of the three cases: the married adulterer, a life for life, and the deserter of his Din (Islam), abandoning the community.

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ ‏.‏

Abû Hurayra rapporta que (Hadrat) Sulaymân avait soixante épouses. Il dit (un jour) : Je vais rendre visite à chacune d'elles cette nuit, et chacune d'elles tombera enceinte et donnera naissance à un enfant mâle qui sera un cavalier et combattra dans la cause d'Allah. Mais (il arriva) qu'aucune d'elles ne tomba enceinte sauf une, mais elle donna naissance à un enfant incomplet. Là-dessus le Messager d'Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) dit : S'il avait dit Inshâ' Allâh (si Dieu le veut), alors chacune d'elles aurait donné naissance à un enfant qui aurait été un cavalier et aurait combattu dans la cause d'Allah.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، - وَاللَّفْظُ لأَحْمَدَ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ وَالَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ لاَ يَحِلُّ دَمُ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ ثَلاَثَةُ نَفَرٍ التَّارِكُ الإِسْلاَمَ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ أَوِ الْجَمَاعَةَ - شَكَّ فِيهِ أَحْمَدُ - وَالثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ الأَعْمَشُ فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ، إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، بِمِثْلِهِ ‏.‏

Abû Hurayra rapporta que le Prophète d'Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) dit que Sulaymân ibn Dâwûd, le Messager d'Allah, déclara : J'aurai des rapports sexuels avec soixante-dix épouses durant la nuit ; toutes donneront naissance à un enfant mâle qui combattra dans la cause d'Allah. Son compagnon ou l'ange lui dit : Dis « Si Dieu le veut ». Mais il (Hadrat Sulaymân) ne le dit pas, et il l'oublia. Et aucune de ses épouses ne donna naissance à un enfant, sauf une qui donna naissance à un enfant prématuré. Le Messager d'Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) dit : S'il avait dit Inshâ' Allâh (si Dieu le veut), il n'aurait pas échoué et son désir aurait été réalisé.

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up and said: By Him besides Whom there is no god but He, the blood of a Muslim who bears the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and I am His Messenger, may be lawfully shed only in case of three persons: the one who abandons Islam, and deserts the community [Ahmad, one of the narrators, is doubtful whether the Prophet (ﷺ) used the word li'l-jama'ah or al-jama'ah), and the married adulterer, and life for life.

Sahih Muslim #1676d

This hadith has been reported on the authority of A'mash with the same chain of narrators but with a slight variation of words, i. e. he did not say:
