Rapportรฉ par Abรป Sa'รฎd Al-Khudrรฎ: Une fois, le Messager d'Allah (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู
) sortit vers le Musallรข (lieu de priรจre) pour la priรจre de l''รd al-Adhรข ou Al-Fitr. Puis il passa prรจs des femmes et dit: "ร femmes! Faites l'aumรดne, car j'ai vu que la majoritรฉ des habitants de l'Enfer รฉtaient vous (les femmes)." Elles demandรจrent: "Pourquoi en est-il ainsi, รด Messager d'Allah (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู
)?" Il rรฉpondit: "Vous maudissez frรฉquemment et รชtes ingrates envers vos maris. Je n'ai vu personne de plus dรฉficient en intelligence et en religion que vous. Un homme prudent et sensรฉ pourrait รชtre รฉgarรฉ par certaines d'entre vous." Les femmes demandรจrent: "ร Messager d'Allah (ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู
)! Qu'est-ce qui est dรฉficient dans notre intelligence et notre religion?" Il dit: "Le tรฉmoignage de deux femmes n'est-il pas รฉgal au tรฉmoignage d'un seul homme?" Elles rรฉpondirent par l'affirmative. Il dit: "Ceci est la dรฉficience dans son intelligence. N'est-il pas vrai qu'une femme ne peut ni prier ni jeรปner durant ses menstrues?" Les femmes rรฉpondirent par l'affirmative. Il dit: "Ceci est la dรฉficience dans sa religion."
Once Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) of `Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer.
Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the
dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) ?" He replied,
"You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in
intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The
women asked, "O Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ)! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not
the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He
said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast
during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her
religion."
